Stella´s “Arraiá”

June has just arrived and the festivities are in full swing. Held at Manioca, space for events and restaurant that values the Brazilian cuisine, nothing more appropriate to be the stage of Stella´s “Arraiá”. Red flags, traditional peanut sweets, apple of love and honey bread, are some of the highlights of Dani Vinas´ décor that has explored with such delicacy and unusual palette this traditional celebration so much appreciated throughout all Brazilian States. I loved the contrast of the flowers in shades of red, orange, pink and white, plus the use of pottery and basketwork. May June be filled with “Festas Juninas”. PS. Festas Juninas, also known as festas de São João for their part in celebrating the nativity of St. John the Baptist, are the annual Brazilian celebrations adapted from European Midsummer that take place in the southern midwinter.
