I was invited to participate in an editorial for brides with the theme "Before Saying I Do” that is, that unforgettable and super expected time prior to going to the altar. The proposal was to capture the feeling of the bride while seeing herself for the first time after finishing makeup, hair and finally putting on the dress. It is a special and fulfilling moment and a new stage in the life of a woman. To make it even more special, the scenario was decorated with a rose curtain to create an ethereal and dreamlike environment for the bride. In addition to bouquets with different touches like ‘feathers’ (actually corn flower) and succulents painted with a touch of gold. In the main arrangement white and pink lotus flower, alongside fuchsia ‘angel´s fingers’.
I just loved the experience, there is nothing like being able to experiment and 'play' with flowers to create unique scenarios. Carol Arruda was the professional involved with makeup and hair. She captured masterfully two different styles of wedding, a more classic version and a modern one. An authentic shabby chic wedding where the bride demonstrates a care free and smiling attitude, as if ready to enter an outdoor ceremony. The classic bride, in the other hand, looked more introspective with slightly wavy and loose hair, decorated with a diamond tiara.
